Comprehensive guide to designing a room using Tilelook

1. Creating the room

You start by opening the program and using tools to define the room shape. Specific room measurements are entered, and elements like doors and windows are added by specifying their dimensions and positions.

2. Dividing surfaces

This phase involves managing the internal surfaces, such as the bathroom walls, to apply different materials in specific areas. For example, you might decide to use one type of tile inside the shower box and another type in the rest of the bathroom.

3. Applying materials and colors

This step allows you to "paint" the walls and other surfaces by choosing the desired materials or colors. It's also possible to add new materials and further customize the appearance of the room.

4. Inserting objects

You proceed to place furnishings such as sanitary fixtures, furniture, and accessories. Using Tilelook's object library or importing objects from external sources, these items are positioned in the room, adjusting their placement and size.

The outcomes of the project created with Tilelook include several aspects of presentation and final documentation:

  • Photorealistic renders, also a panoramic render suitable for 360-degree viewing;

  • Project PDF: A PDF was generated that includes the renders, floor plans, surfaces with respective measurements, tiles used, and other technical specifics.

  • Cost estimate calculation: The tutorial demonstrated how to use Tilelook to calculate a detailed estimate based on the data of the items used in the project, such as tiles and furnishings. This includes the description, manufacturer, collections, and unit price of each element.

  • Publication: Your project is published on the website and you can share on social media.
